After being relatively quiet from the music scene, Tamar Braxton is ready to make some noise in 2017 as she releases emotional in new single “My Man”.
In this single, Tamar has seemed to gotten quite personal as she touches on infidelity that her father had with his mistress when he was married to her mother and it caused major heartbreak and almost a family destruction.
“Is this my life? / It cuts me like a knife / To know the one I love could leave me for a friend / I’m not desperate, but I would reconsider (baby, are you sorry?) / All the years I put in this thing to be a win / I know it’s too late / She took my man (took my man),” she sings.
In the artwork of the album, Tamar keeps the personal theme alive as she features an old photo when her parents were together, that infidelity if often discussed on The Braxton Family Values throughout the many seasons.
This is the R&B songstresses first single from her forthcoming album to be released later this year following up her previous album in 2015 Calling All Lovers which featured popular tracks like “If I Don’t Have You”, “Catfish”, and “Simple Things”.
