After dropping her debut album Girl Disrupted a little less than two weeks ago, Sevyn Streeter stops by Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club and gives us insight on her life leading up to now.
Sevyn first opened up the interview discussing the release of her debut LP and exactly why it took a while to release as she explains: “I just feel like my album wasn’t completed yet, it was very very important to me to like tell all of my truth on this album, it was very important.”
During the interview, the Florida native songstress revealed she dealt with depression which led her to her thinking about suicide but explained how cutting off the negatives in her life and being appreciated and loved by those important to her helped in the process.
Throughout the chat, she also went on to discuss colorism in the industry, not being sure if she’s still signed to Chris Brown label (CBE), and her mother giving her some interesting tips on how to please her man.
