Stream: Syd Releases Debut Solo Album ‘Fin’

Music , ,

In the beginning, Syd was not too fond of the limelight being the center of attention while in the group The Internet. Now she decides to step out of the shadows and extend her voice and story in her debut solo album Fin.

In this 12-track project, the LA native artist worked with producers Melo-X, Rakhi, Hit-Boy, and fellow Internet member Steve Lacy. She also decided to only have one featured artist on the album as she chose rising artist 6lack for the track “Over”.

This album features popular singles as she shows her versatility rapping and singing in “All About Me” and following up with the sexy and sensual track “Body”, which has fans going crazy waiting for more from the soulful and smooth songstress.

In an interview last year in October with The FADER, she gives us an insight into the concept of the album: “This album is not that deep, but I feel like this is my descent into the depth I want the band to get to. For me, this is like an in-between thing — maybe get a song on the radio, maybe make some money, have some new s*** to perform.”
